The purpose of the Indiana Mining & Mineral Education Program (IMMEP) Scholarship Program is twofold, (1) Strengthen the Indiana aggregates industry by promoting careers in the industry and supporting education of individuals seeking a career in the aggregates industry, and (2) Establish relationship with institutions of higher learning providing education supporting careers in the aggregates industry.
Applicant Requirements
- Applicant must be an Indiana resident and a US Citizen.
- Applicant must be a high school graduate or on track to graduate and in pursuit of a post-secondary education.
- Applicant must be majoring in a curriculum that will support a career in the aggregates industry. Examples include Civil Engineering, Engineering Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Geological Engineering, Mineral Science, Mining Engineering, Certified Welder, Diesel Mechanic, Safety Management, or others as applicable.
Application Procedure
Submit the following information via this online form no later than April 15th.
- Completed Application Form
- Official High School Transcript with SAT or ACT scores if applicable.
- Official College Transcript if you are already attending college.
- At least one reference with a Letter of Recommendation from that reference (max. of 3 references)
- Essay (300 words or less) illustrating your goals, where you plan to attend college, how your chosen field relates to the Indiana aggregates industry, and why you chose to apply for this scholarship.
Selection Criteria
The applications will be reviewed and evaluated by a selection committee based on the criteria below. Applicants will be notified upon selection, not later than May 31st.
